Privacy Policy
Effective date: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what data the CalcRush mobile app (package app.calcrush) and its servers
process, why, and what rights you have. We collect as little as possible: you can play without an account,
and we never sell your data.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is [[CONTROLLER_NAME]], the individual developer of CalcRush.

3. What data we process and why
3.1 Playing without an account
If you choose Play offline, the app does not send any game data to our servers. Your high score, Daily Challenge streak, the date of your last Daily Challenge, your language preference and a randomly generated local identifier are stored only on your device. Ads are still shown – see section 3.5.
3.2 Signing in with Google
If you choose Sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity to us and we receive:
- a unique, pseudonymous identifier of your Google account,
- the name set in your Google account, which becomes your display name (if your account has no name, we use “Player”).
We do not receive or store your Google password, and we do not store your email address. On our server we create a player account containing: a random player ID, the Google account identifier, your display name and the date you signed up. A sign-in token and your player ID are stored in the secure storage of your device so you stay signed in.
3.3 Scores, leaderboards and achievements
When you finish a round while signed in, the app sends your score, the chosen difficulty and the date to our server. We store it together with your player ID, your display name and the time of submission, and we record achievements you unlock (type and date).
Leaderboards are public. Your display name, score, difficulty and date can be seen by anyone using the app or our public leaderboard API.
3.4 Server logs
When the app communicates with our server, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, the requested address, the response status and the app/device user agent. We use it only to keep the service running, secure and free from abuse (for example, cheating or excessive requests).
3.5 Advertising (Google AdMob)
CalcRush is free and funded by ads provided by Google AdMob: a full-screen ad after a round ends and an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch for a second chance. Ads are never shown during gameplay.
To deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and how you interact with ads. Google processes this data under its own responsibility; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland). Before any ads are requested, the app shows Google’s consent form, where you decide whether your data may be used for personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings icon on the app’s home screen. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.
On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on the device).
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – your player account, saving scores, leaderboards and achievements.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – personalised advertising and the related use of your device’s storage and identifiers. You can withdraw consent at any time in Privacy settings.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – server logs for security and abuse prevention, and showing non-personalised ads that fund the free app.
5. Who receives the data
- DigitalOcean, LLC – hosting provider of our server (processor acting on our instructions).
- Google – Google Sign-In, AdMob and the consent form (User Messaging Platform).
- Everyone – your display name and scores on public leaderboards, if you sign in.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with anyone else, unless required by law.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Google and DigitalOcean are based in the United States, so data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Player account, scores and achievements – until you delete your account. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.
- Server logs – up to 30 days, unless needed longer to investigate a specific security incident.
- Data on your device – until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Advertising data – according to Google’s retention policies.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing before withdrawal). To exercise these rights, write to contact@calcrush.app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority – in particular in the EU country where you live or work. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl).
9. Deleting your account
See how to delete your CalcRush account and data.
10. Children
CalcRush is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
All communication between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are kept in your device’s secure storage, and access to our server is restricted.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
